Privacy Policy
Who we are
Flights Today is a UK travel agency arranging flights, holidays, hotels and Umrah journeys. This policy explains what we do with your personal information, why, and what rights you have over it.
If you have any questions about this policy, call us on 0203 411 0098 or email [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, call us or message us on WhatsApp, we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your travel details — where you want to go, your dates, how many people are travelling and your cabin or room preference
- Anything else you choose to tell us in your message
When a booking goes ahead we also collect what the airline or hotel needs, which usually means passenger names as they appear on your passport, dates of birth, passport numbers and expiry dates, and payment details.
If you contact us through our Facebook or Instagram pages, we receive the details you submit there.
We do not ask for more than we need, and you are never required to give us information that is not necessary for the trip you are asking about.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry. We cannot quote you a fare without knowing where and when you want to travel.
- To make and manage your booking. Airlines, hotels and other suppliers require passenger details to issue tickets and confirm reservations.
- To keep you informed. Confirmations, tickets, schedule changes and anything else that affects your trip.
- To keep our records straight. Bookings and payments are kept for accounting and tax purposes.
Our lawful basis is usually that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform that contract. Where we rely on your consent — for example marketing messages — you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and only with:
- Airlines, hotels and travel suppliers, to make your booking
- Payment providers, to take payment
- Our own staff, who handle your enquiry or booking
Some suppliers are outside the United Kingdom, which is unavoidable when you are travelling abroad — an airline in Kenya needs your details to carry you. Where information leaves the UK we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept while they are still useful and then deleted. Booking and payment records are kept for six years, which is the period HMRC requires for financial records.
Keeping it safe
Our website runs over an encrypted connection and our booking records are held in an access-controlled system. Only staff who need to see your details can see them.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong in a way that affects you.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, and — if you have agreed — analytics cookies that tell us which pages people visit. Analytics data is aggregated; it does not identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site may not work properly without the essential ones.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete information we no longer have a reason to keep
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Send your information to another provider
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] or call 0203 411 0098. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
